On The Wall

This piece represents the toxic beauty standards imposed on women by society. It shows the pressure women face to fulfill the unrealistic ideals of appearance that are often perpetuated through media, advertising, and the social norms. The work was inspired by Broomberg and Chanarin, whose artistic approach to social commentary influenced the way I explored this topic. Through this project, the piece serves as a critique of the damaging narratives that continue to define and limit women in contemporary culture.

On The Wall

Tents Aren’t Homes
I created this piece to portray a different perspective on homelessness, focusing on the human experiences often are overlooked or misunderstood. By visiting various encampments, I had the opportunity to listen to these individuals stories and gain insight into their daily realities. Through my work, I aimed to capture the emotion, resilience, and hardship reflected in their eyes, emphasizing the humanity behind their circumstances rather than just their situation. This project seeks to challenge societal perceptions of homelessness and encourage viewers to engage with compassion and understanding, recognizing the depth and dignity of those living without stable housing.
